TORN DOWN

TORN DOWN. An old home at 179 South Bailey was torn down on Monday, March 20. By mid-afternoon on March 21 when this photo was taken, the only thing remaining from the home was a hole in the ground where the basement once sat. The Romeo Lions Club owns the property and it was able to demonstrate to the village that it was not feasible to save the home. The empty lot which is located to the Romeo Lions Field will give the Club more space to host events such as carnival for the Romeo Peach Festival. (Photo by Larry Sobczak)
