Calm waters and a thick layer of fair weather clouds greeted visitors to Stony Creek Metropark in Washington Township at least one day over the Memorial Day weekend. The weather cooperated long enough on Saturday to allow a drone to photograph activity on Stony Creek Lake. Volunteers cleaning and decorating area cemeteries on Saturday for Memorial Day services reported similar luck. Farmers and gardeners were not so lucky—they faced muddier than normal conditions from a wet month of May.
