A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 7:03 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Dave Mabry, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Emily Campbell, Trustee; John Casadei, Trustee; Jack Elder,
ABSENT: Robin Buxar, Supervisor; Trustee; Jeanne Langlois
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To appoint Clerk Mabry as president pro-temp for the Regular May 13, 2025, Board of Trustees meeting.
2. To approve the agenda as presented.
3. To approve the consent agenda as amended.
4. To amend the Board of Trustees minutes from April 22, 2025, regular meeting section four, first paragraph to read: “agenda item to be placed on the Board of Trustees regular meeting agenda on May 27, 2025.”
5. To award the bid for replacement of the caretaker’s house at Cranberry Lake Farm to the low bidder Henon Building Company in the amount of $5,200 plus a ten percent contingency and for the Township Manager to sign the contract after the General Liability Insurance for Henson Building Company is updated with the endorsement of Oakland Township under Additional Insured.
6. To award the Garling Barn roofing contract to the lowest qualified bid from Henson Building Company for a cost not to exceed $16,500 including a ten percent contingency to repair downspouts, repair deck holes, and replace the shingle with CertainTeed Landmark Climate Flex, and for the Township Manager to sign the contract after the General Liability Insurance for Henson Building Company is updated with the endorsement of Oakland Township under Additional Insured.
7. To approve Resolution No. 25-06 as presented in the Board package.
8. To approve resolution No. 25-07, as presented, and authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to sign.
9. To approve resolution No. 25-08 and authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to sign.
10. To approve the 2025 field work plan for the Fox Nature Preserve.
11. To approve an Oakland Township cost share of fifty (50) percent or $48, 029.00 and authorize the early engineering preliminary design for the Silverbell and Gallagher Roads paving improvement project.
12. To approve the Amendment 25-01 and authorize the Township Clerk and Supervisor to sign.
13. To approve the Pay Practice Policy dated May 13, 2025, as recommended by administration
14. To approve the website and social media administrative policy for inclusion in the Oakland Township Employee Handbook effective May 13, 2025, and authorize the Township Manager to execute required actions and the Clerk to file the same.
15. To adjourn the meeting at 8:52 PM.
