On June 4, 2025, the Township Board of the Charter Township of Washington adopted Ordinance No. 138-VV amending the Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, to relocate sign regulations from the Washington Township Compilation of Ordinances to the Washington Township Zoning Ordinance for ease of use by staff and applicants; to provide for pedestrian and vehicular safety, prohibiting specified types of signs; providing for provisions regarding sign area, illumination, location standards, permanent signs, temporary signs and non-conforming signs; repealing Ordinance No. 129 and repealing any and all other ordinances and/or resolutions in conflict therewith.
A complete copy of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment is posted in the office of the Township Clerk located at 57900 Van Dyke Avenue, Washington Township, Michigan 48094 and on the Washington Township website which can be accessed at www.washingtontownship.org. The Zoning Ordinance Amendment may be reviewed, inspected or a copy purchased at the Township Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Ordinance Amendment shall take effect seven (7) days after this publication.
