PUBLIC NOTICE – NOTICE OF VOTER REGISTRATION SPECIAL ELECTION FOR ARMADA AREA SCHOOLS TUESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2025

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF ARMADA TOWNSHIP:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: that any qualified elector of Armada Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com. The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, July 21, 2025. A sample ballot may be viewed at mi.gov/vote.

After this date, any qualified elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the Armada Township Clerk’s office, located at 23121 East Main, Armada, MI 48005 at the following times:

• Regular business hours: Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• Election Day, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• Early Voting is NOT available for the August 5, 2025 Special Election.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE the Special Election you be voting on is for the following bond proposal:

ARMADA AREA SCHOOLS

GENERAL OBLIGATION UNLIMITED TAX BOND PROPOSAL

FOR BUILDING AND SITE PURPOSES IN THE AMOUNT OF

NOT TO EXCEED $12,155.000

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT THE BONDS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, IF APPROVED BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE ELECTORS AT THIS ELECTION, WILL BE GENERAL OBLIGATION UNLIMITED TAX BONDS PAYABLE FROM GENERAL AD VALOREM TAXES.

The Polls for the Special election will open at 7:00 AM and remain open until 8:00 PM on Election Day. To verify registration status please call 586-784-5200 Ext. 16, or visit www.michigan.gov/vote

The Township Clerk’s office will be open from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 to request an absent voter ballot. Persons qualified to vote by absentee ballot in the Special Election may vote in person in the Clerk’s office up to 4:00 PM, August 4, 2025. Early Voting is NOT available for the August 5, 2025 Special Election.
