Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday,July 9, 2025, beginning at 6:00PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request for special land use approval submitted by Mike Conklin. The applicant proposes to add a detached garage to the property at 6006 White Birch (Pheasant Ridge Estates, Lot 15) in the R1Single Family Residential district. The parcel in question is approximately 1.6 acres. The garage is proposed in a side yard;constructing an accessory building in a side yard requires special land use approval. The proposed building is 1,571.24 square feet, which exceeds the maximum of 1,200 square feet; this larger size also requires special land use approval.
A complete copy of the application for special land use approval may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, Ml 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30AM through 4:30PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on July 9, 2025.
