TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF RAY TOWNSHIP, COUNTY OF MACOMB, MICHIGAN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: that any qualified elector of Ray Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com.The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, July 21, 2025. A sample ballot may be viewed at mi.gov/vote.
After this date, any qualified elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the Ray Township Clerk’s office, located at 64255 Wolcott Road, Ray, MI 48096 at the following times:
• Regular business hours: Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Election Day, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Early Voting is NOT available for the August 5, 2025 Special Election.

Millage Renewal for Ray Township
Fire and Rescue Operations
Shall the constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be levied on all taxable real and personal property in the unincorporated and incorporated area of the Township of Ray, Macomb County, Michigan, be increased by one and one-half (1.5) mills for each one ($1.00) dollar ($1.50 for each $1,000.00) of the taxable value of such property, as finally equalized, for a period of five (5) years (2026 through 2030 inclusive) for the purpose of providing funds for the operation and maintenance of the Ray Township Fire and Rescue Department?
The estimated amount of revenue that will be collected in the first year that the millage is authorized and levied is $491,738.62.
This proposed millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage and does not constitute new additional millage. ( ) Yes ( ) No

Shall the constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be levied on all taxable real and personal property in the unincorporated and incorporated area of the Township of Ray, Macomb County, Michigan, be increased by one (1.0) mill for each one ($1.00) dollar ($1.00 for each $1,000.00) of the taxable value of such property, as finally equalized, for a period of five (5) years (2026 through 2030 inclusive) for the purpose of providing funds for the purchase of equipment and truck replacement for the Ray Township Fire and Rescue Department?
The estimated amount of revenue that will be collected in the first year that the millage is authorized and levied is $327,825.74.
This proposed millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage and does not constitute new additional millage.

The Township Clerk’s office will be open from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 to request an absent voter ballot. Persons qualified to vote by absentee ballot in the Special Election may vote in person in the Clerk’s office up to 4:00 PM, August 4, 2025. Early Voting is NOT available for the August 5, 2025 Special Election.
