Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request for special land use approval submitted by David Mayle and Amanda Wozniak. The applicant proposes to add a detached garage to the property at 5200 Raap Road (parcel ID 14-01-29-251-002) in the R1 Single Family Residential district. The parcel in question is approximately 7.4 acres. The garage is proposed in a side yard; constructing an accessory building in a side yard requires special land use approval. The proposed building is 1,200 square feet.
A complete copy of the application for special land use approval may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on August 6, 2025.
