On July 16, 2025, the Township Board of the Charter Township of Washington adopted Ordinance No. 138-WW amending the Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, to incorporate missing use definitions, clarify the uses allowed in each zoning district of Washington Township, remove conflicting provisions, modify Full and Self-Service Car Wash specific use standards for clarity, and add specific use standards for Self-Service Storage/Self-Storage Warehouses; to promote Zoning Ordinance ease of use by staff and applicants and promote orderly development within the Township.
A complete copy of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment is posted in the office of the Township Clerk located at 57900 Van Dyke Avenue, Washington Township, Michigan 48094 and on the Washington Township website which can be accessed at www.washingtontownship.org. The Zoning Ordinance Amendment may be reviewed, inspected or a copy purchased at the Township Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Ordinance Amendment shall take effect seven (7) days after this publication.
