On October 1, 2025, the Township Board of Trustees for the Charter Township of Washington, approved an Amendment to the Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, being Ordinance 138, as amended, revising Article 5 (Site Standards), Section 3 (Residential Developments) to add Subsections A. through E., providing design standards specific to residential uses.
A complete copy of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment is posted in the office of the Township Clerk located at 57900 Van Dyke Avenue, Washington Township, Michigan 48094 and on the Washington Township website which can be accessed at www.washingtontownship.org. The Zoning Ordinance Amendment may be reviewed, inspected or a copy purchased at the Township Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Ordinance Amendment shall take effect seven (7) days after this publication.
