PUBLIC NOTICE – SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR VILLAGE OF ARMADA RCM 09/22/25

Pres. Coenen called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Shall, Clark, Coenen, Adair, Boelke, Stirrett, and Barzyk. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Porter, Bob Richter, Kevin Grand, Pola Portero, Carmelo Portaro, Marcia L. Hollins, and Stacy Sobotka.
COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as amended: Corrected the date for the minutes to approve and added Code Enforcement Officer as Agenda Item New Business Item B. Heard and/or received: a written report from Water Commissioner Boelke, which was read aloud, and the F & V Reports for August and September, 2025. Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 10/13/25 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $33,066.90 as presented; and to approve the Special Event Permit Application from the Armada Agricultural Society on 12/6/25 between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm for the Holly Days Parade; to approve the Special Event Permit Application from the PAL Leadership Team on 11/9/25 between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 pm for a Four Corner Fundraiser. Unanimously Approved: to allow the Clerk to advertise for a full-time Department of Public Works employee in the Record and to allow Trustee Clark and President Coenen to conduct interviews and bring a recommendation to Council for approval when a candidate is chosen; to extend Eric Sarenius an offer of part-time employment with the Village of Armada Department of Public Works at a rate of $18.50/hour starting after approval from Council. Approved: to terminate the appointment of Tom Urban, current Code Enforcer, effective immediately and to allow the Police Commissioner to seek a replacement.
