PUBLIC NOTICE – CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday December 1st, 2025, in the Board Room of the Washington Township Municipal Building located at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township, Michigan 48094, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to consider an appeal by:

By reason of:

Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, Article 3.0 Zoning Districts, Section 3.18 Front Yard Setback Requirements, A. Front and streetside setbacks shall be measured from the centerline of each road right -of-way in accordance with the Township’s Master Plan designation and the Road Commission of Macomb County as follows: Secondary Road 110 feet, (31 Mile Road).

Purpose of request:

To request a variance, which if granted would allow the applicant to construct a single-family residential home that is setback 66 feet from the centerline of 31 Mile Road. The Zoning Ordinance requires a front yard setback to be a minimum of 110 feet measured from the centerline of the road, making the variance that is requested 44 feet.

All property owners within three hundred feet will receive a public hearing notice. The public may participate in the meeting by attending in person or sending a representative to attend for them.
