Jerry L. Trott, 76, a lifelong resident of Romeo, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Sept. 28, 1949, in Mount Clemens, the son of Leslie and Shirley (Kiehler) Trott.

He graduated from Romeo High School with the Class of 1968 and remained deeply connected to the community he called home throughout his life.

Following high school, Jerry worked at Interstate for four years before beginning a career with Romeo Community Schools, where he faithfully served for 38 years. In addition to his work, Jerry proudly farmed the same fields his parents had farmed during his childhood, carrying on a family tradition that meant so much to him.

A longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Jerry was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He enjoyed attending auction sales, tractor pulls, and demolition derbies. He was an avid collector of toy tractor replicas, farm memorabilia, rings, and watches. Above all, Jerry cherished spending time with his family and friends and was always ready to help anyone in need.

Jerry is survived his grandchildren: Dakota, Logan, Chloe and Mason and by his brother, Steven (Linda) Trott of Romeo; his sister, Karen Kuhn of Romeo; several nieces and nephews; his goddaughters, Rebecca Welch and Mary Trott Raska; and his dog and faithful companion, Sheila.a. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Shirley Trott; his brother-in-law, Ronald Kuhn; and his beloved daughter, Sara Beth Trott-Ludman.

Visitation will be held on 4-8 p.m., Thursday, June 25, at Muir Funeral Home, 296 S. Main Street, Romeo.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 26 at Muir Funeral Home, 296 S. Main Street, Romeo.

Burial will follow at Bruce Cemetery, 71865 Fisher Road, Bruce Township.
