Notice is hereby given that there will be a Public Hearing held before the Charter Township of Washington Planning Commission on Thursday, September 10th, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Washington Township Municipal Building Board Room located at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township, MI 48094.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear and receive comments related to a proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment which is intended to clarify the Township’s definition of Small-Scale Entertainment as well as its relationship to the Township’s Agricultural Tourism Ordinance. This proposed amendment also includes the addition of a definition for Fairs.
The following ordinance sections are included with this proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment:
• Article 2.0 Definitions, Section 2.2 Definitions: Small Scale Entertainment
• Article 2.0 Definitions, Section 2.2 Definitions: Fairs (proposed new definition)
• Article 4.0 Use Standards, Section 4.5 Agricultural Tourism (Subsection D)
