ARCHIVE OPENING

The Romeo Community Archive at the Kezar Branch of the Romeo District Library opened to the public on May 1. Pictured are visitors looking over the archive housed in the basement after a dedication ceremony held on April 29. The archive contains collections gathered for more than a century by the Romeo Peach Festival and the Monday Club as well as newspapers, photographs and documents donated by former publisher of The Romeo Observer Mel Bleich and his late wife Joan. The Kezar Branch Library is located at 107 Church Street in Romeo. The hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
