Doug Pastewski from Macomb Township is getting ready for a short sailing race on Stony Creek Lake in Washington Township. He has been a member of the Creek Fleet Sailing Club since 2009. The club will typically have three to five races per week with up to six different courses at Stony Creek Metropark. They have no fees and the club is open to anyone who has an interest in sailing. If you don’t own a boat, they can place anyone as a crew member on a boat to get the experience. The club will travel to Lake St. Clair for a couple of events and hold a fall event at Stony Creek in November called the “Bone Chiller Regatta.” Their website is www.creekfleet.org.
