Students at Washington Elementary School participated in the “PAWS” during the month of October to teach respect. “PAWS” stand for Positive attitude, Always be kind, Work hard and Stay safe. In the top photo, John Rutledge, retired fourth grade teacher, sings the PAWS song to the kids during an assembly held on Oct 6. The middle photo is the collection of “PAWS ROCKS” painted by the kids that are displayed in the courtyard at the school. The bottom photo on the left is a closeup of a rock painted by a student.
