Fire destroys home

AERIAL VIEW. A home at 67667 Sisson Street in Washington Township was completely destroyed by fire on March 5. Firefighters from Washington Township as well as Romeo/Bruce Township, Armada Township and Ray Township fought the fire for approximately three hours beginning at 11:30 a.m. The home was vacant and no one was injured. Washington Township Fire Chief Brian Tyrell said that cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The smoke plume could be seen for miles and this photo was taken by Washington Township resident Richard McIntosh who flew a drone from his backyard to see what was happening.
