Romeo Village Clerk and Cemetery Sexton Mike Lee (inset photo) places a flag on the grave of a military veteran at the Romeo Cemetery on Friday. Lee spent time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday making sure the graves of the approximately 650 veterans buried in the cemetery had a flag planted on them in time for the annual Memorial Day parade and services. He received help on Thursday from Romeo Middle School students that placed flags on Civil War veterans’ graves and from the Romeo High School Lacrosse Team that helped clean the cemetery on Friday.
