William G. Westrick, 79, died June 26, 2018. He was born in Marine City to Alleman J. and Zita (nee Guyor) on Feb. 12, 1939. He was the beloved husband of Fran Diebboll, for 2 years, and late Gloria Marie (nee Kreusel), for 54 years.
As one of the founding engineers of Anderson, Eckstein, and Westrick (AEW) Civil Engineering, and through philanthropy, Bill has improved the quality of life for the residents of southeastern Michigan. His love and kindness continue to resonate in the community and around the world.
Survivors include his children, Aaron J. (Kim) Westrick, Judy A. (David C. Szlag) Westrick, William G. (Vicky) Westrick, Paul A. (Beth) Westrick and Mary M. (Jeffrey) Bednar. He is the proud grandfather of 15.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m., Sunday July 1 and 1-8 p.m., Monday, July 2 with a scripture service at 7 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica. In state Tuesday 10:30 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at SS. John and Paul Catholic Church, 7777 W. 28 Mile Road, Washington Township. Burial is at St. Mary Cemetery, St. Clair.
