
Virginia M. Steinbrink, 94, a 40 year resident of Allenton and formerly from Ray Township, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens.  She was born June 12, 1924 in Detroit, the daughter of Anthony and Sophia (Talarek) Rojeski. She married Irvin Steinbrink on March 31, 1943.
Virginia worked at many and various jobs over her life. Her last job was sorting cloths and helping out with distributing food for the needy at St. Clement of Rome in Romeo which is now the Agape Center. She previously worked in the custodial department at the Ford Tractor Plant in Romeo, worked at the pickle factories in Memphis and the Safie’s Pickle Factory. She also worked at the Holtzapple Hachery in Ray Township and was well known at the Armada Flea Market where she sold vegetables and garage sales items. She continued for many years having garage sales at her Allenton home and loved to play bingo with her many family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Barb (Roger) Marshall of Washington Township, Patty (John) Fryer of Washington Township, Tom (Cathy) Steinbrink of Macomb Township, Rodger (Mendy) Steinbrink of West Branch, Bonnie Sasseen of Armada, Ginger (David) Steinbrink of Armada and Susan (Bubba Dan) Coenen of Columbus. Grandchildren include Marcus, Chad, Scott, Tim, Jennifer, Joe, Jake, Jonathan, Adam, Nicholas, Amber, Clayton, Christopher, Chantell, Judith and Kelly. Great-grandchildren include Randall, Payton, Hunter, Noah, Nathan, Preston, Nick, Logan, Joshlyn, Nolyn, Vincent, Evalyn, Kara, Cameron, Taylor, Ayzia, Autumn, Lillian, Owen, Layla, Shalyn and Gracie. She has two great-great-grandchildren: Gracyn and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin in September 1998; children, Bob, Cassandra and Shirley; grandson, Joshua Parrott; and siblings, Steve Rojeski, Helen Duprey, Benny Rojeski, Dolores Kielbasa, amd Cecilia Dubay.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., on Monday, July 23 and 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 24 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo.
Funeral services will take place on 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 25 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Romeo.
Burial is at West Berlin Cemetery in Allenton.
