Members of Preceptor Delta Beta Sorority have been distributing 200 comfort blankets plus comfort items over the past month to organizations that help people during their moment of need. Funding for the donations comes from various fundraisers the sorority has held during the year.
Women from the sorority, left to right, sorority chapter President Barbara Marshall, Recording Secretary Diane Kay and Treasurer Barbara Schemanske, are donating 100 fleece blankets to be distributed to various fire stations in the area to be comfort patients and victims of traumatic situations such as house fires or car collisions. Receiving the blankets at the Washington Township Fire Station #1 are Washington Township firefighters Capt. Tony Augugaliaro, Eric Kozlowski, Rob Colby, Paul Maiorana, Anthony DeChambeau and Justin Hrynyk as well as Washington Township Fire Chief Tyrell and Bruce-Romeo Fire Chief David Witgen.
