EDWARD A. KORALEWSKI

Edward A. Koralewski, 76, of Romeo, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. He was born Jan. 20, 1942 in Detroit, the son of Ben and Anna (Lewandowski) Koralewski.  He married Francis Mary Staniszewski in 1967 and she preceded him in death in 1980.  He then married Sharon Murphy on Oct. 5, 1985.

Mr. Koralweski served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He became a diesel mechanic working for Patrico Transit in Sterling Heights and then for Asplundh Tree Experts in Romeo.  After retirement, he worked on many cars and trucks at his home.  He was a Life Member of the Striber-McVicar VFW Post # 2052 in Romeo, the Eagles Club in Imlay City and the American Legion in Oxford.  His hobbies include both hunting and fishing.  Along with his family, they were long time members of St. Clement of Romeo Catholic, Romeo.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Renee Koralewski, Annie Couch, Sandy (Daryl) Anderson, Sherri Lewis, Jeannie (Harry) Schneider, Laura (Larry) Lefler and Edward A. (Krystin) Koralewski Jr.; brother, Jerome Koralewski; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  He is also preceded in death by his grandson Billy, granddaughter Holly and sister-in-law Kathy.

Funeral services: 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Romeo with a burial to follow in the Romeo Cemetery.

Visitation: 2-8 p.m., Monday Dec. 17 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo.
