EMPTY BOWLS NO MORE. Peggy Grandstaff, clay studio teacher from Starkweather Arts Center, hands a check for $3,175 to Kathy Mollon, coordinator from Agape Center. For the third season, Grandstaff and a team of dedicated volunteers ran the Empty Bowls program out of the Starkweather Arts Center Clay Studio. More than 295 clay bowls were made during the summer and then offered for sale during the Romeo Art Walk in October. Starkweather was able to donate $3,175 to Agape Center for use in their food pantry. Starkweather Secretary Grace Venet said that the art center thanks the community and the Four County Community Foundation for their support.
