Harold A. Werderman, 89, of Hale and formerly the Romeo area, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. He was born on July 1, 1929 in Romeo, the son of Arthur and Florence (Zielesch) Werderman. On May 26, 1951, he married Marjory J. Werth at the First Congregational Church in Romeo.
Harold and his family were lifelong farmers at their farm in Bruce Township. When the M-53 (Van Dyke) expressway came through their farm, they moved to the Hale area where they retired. Harold was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, member of the Romeo Masonic Temple Lodge # 41 and the VFW Post in Hale. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his Hale home.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Dennis) Schwark of Romeo, Diane (Dennis) Rang of Armada, and Wendy (Paul) Bowen of Dryden; grandchildren, Kim, Tracy, Adam, Laura, Arthur, Steven and Christopher; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hailey, Gunner, Evan, Jareth, Serenity and Eliza.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marjory, on Feb. 16, 2010.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday Dec. 27 at the funeral home.
Burial is at the Romeo Cemetery.
