
Marion “Mike” Nicholas Buzinski, 89, of Armada, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 20198 at Brookdale in Utica. He was born on April 5, 1929 in Oakland Township, the only son of two children born to Michael and Bernice (nee Rutkowski) Buzinski. On June 14, 1952, he married Ann Elizabeth Szymanek in New Baltimore.
Mike hosted “Just for the Fun of It” a polka show on WSMA with his wife, Ann, also known as “Polka Annie,” every Sunday for 25 years, along with promoting polka dances and Oktoberfests, giving dance lessons and hosting a polka show on local cable T.V. He enjoyed farming, animals, tractors, making home improvements and spending time with his grandchildren. Mike was an excellent carpenter and a member of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Jean (Robert) Calvert, Rick Buzinski, Terry (Karen) Buzinski and Marianne Buzinski; and grandchildren, Nick Buzinski, Gabe (Steffanie) Buzinski, Adam (Casey) Girardot and Genevieve Girardot.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Ann; daughter-in-law, Beverly Buzinski; sister, Anna Orlowski and parents.
Visitation will take place 1-9 p.m., Friday, March 22 with a 7 p.m. Scripture Service at Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Modetz Chapel, 73919 Fulton, Armada. A Mass of a Christian burial will take place 1 p.m., Saturday, March 23 with a 12:30 p.m. instate time at St. Mary Mystical Rose Catholic Church, 24040 Armada Ridge Road, Armada.
Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in New Baltimore.
