Keith E. Werderman, 67, a lifelong resident of Romeo and Washington Township, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1951 in Mount Clemens, the son of Edwin and Phyllis (Hopp) Werderman.
After graduating from Romeo High School in 1969, Keith enrolled at Macomb Community College where he earned a degree in climate control. After graduating, Keith then started working at the Romeo Tractor Plant and retired from the Romeo Engine Plant after 30 years of service on April 1, 2003. Upon retirement, he enjoyed building any type of mechanical contraption, especially converting his full size greyhound bus. He was also a well-known tinker, loved to collect any type of tool, could fix anything, and enjoyed spending time in his man cave pole barn where anything and everything was kept. Along with his family, he was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church of Romeo.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather, of Washington Township; mother, Phyllis of Romeo; and siblings, Brian (Philomena) of Sterling Heights, Kathy an Corbin both of Romeo. He is also survived by special friend, Carol Hairsine.
Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Mayer) on Aug. 7, 2001, who he married on June 20, 1980. He is also preceded in death by his father, Edwin, who died on May 14, 2013.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church of Romeo with the Rev. Mark Evans officiating.
