SPRING BREAK

The sun sets over the Oakgrove Picnic Area at Stony Creek Metropark in Washington Township last weekend producing a tapestry of golden hues accented with gray, purple and blue skies and marking a beautiful end to a week-long break area students had from school. Meteorologists say that temperatures, which were near 70 degrees on Saturday and Sunday, have not been this warm in six months and officially broke winter’s long, hard grip on the area.
