Amendments to Zoning Ordinance #114
Armada Township, Macomb County, Michigan
Notice is hereby given that the Armada Township Board adopted amendments to the Armada Township Zoning Ordinance #114, on September 11, 2019.
Summary of Regulatory Effect: Amend Armada Township Ordinance #114 as follows:
• Amend Section 20.3 to clarify setback standards for oversized accessory buildings.
• Amend Section 2.16 to augment the special land use process for larger home-based businesses.
• Amend Section 5.07 to clarify where a special land use approval is required for a digital sign in accordance with recent actions of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
• Amend Section 6.02 to more clearly present parking standards and eliminate repeated standards.
• Amend Section 9.01 to clearly permit agri-business and the keeping of large animals for personal use in the R1 district.
• Amend Section 19.06 to provide for a detailed process for amendments to the zoning ordinance, including rezoning requests.
•Amend Section 20.01 to provide clearer definitions of temporary signs.
The amendments were adopted by the Armada Township Board at a regular meeting held on September 11, 2019, Motion by Paterek, Support by Nikkel, and was approved by a vote of 5.

Swiacki, Armada Township Clerk, certify that a summary of the regulatory effect of these amendments was published in a newspaper in general circulation in the Township on September 25, 2019. A true and complete copy of the above ordinances may be purchased or inspected at the Armada Township Hall, 23121 East Main Street, Armada, MI 48005, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM except holidays.
