Lois Ethel Weaver, 82, of Lake Orion and formerly Romeo, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019 surrounded by her family.  She was born May 3, 1937 in Capac, the daughter of David and Marie (Lukacs) March. In November 1957, she married her beloved husband, William Weaver.

Lois graduated from Capac High School in 1954. She spent 22 years working as a special education aide for Romeo Community Schools. She enhanced the lives of many students throughout her career.  Lois was very proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.   She and her late husband coached Romeo Girls Softball and were active members of the Romeo Athletic Boosters.  As her grandchildren grew up, she enjoyed attending their events as well.  She was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, Michigan Wolverines and was fortunate to attend a few World Series Games with family.  The Peach Festival was a highlight for Lois, as her family would gather to celebrate the Labor Day Festivities.

She is survived by four daughters, Kim (Joe) Goryl of Washington, Kelly (Lance) Wagner of Lake Orion, Lisa (Rob) Tancredi of Lake Orion and Leslie (Alan) Fletemier of Macomb; grandchildren, Joshua Goryl, Nicole (Frank) Nutt, Liane Wagner, Katy (Kody) Croft, Tyler Fletemier, Vince Tancredi, Korin Fletemier, Daniel Fletemier, Valerie Tancredi and Alec Fletemier; and great-grandchild Franklin Nutt. She is also survived by her siblings David (Doris) March and Julia Porter.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William, siblings Marie (Harley) Folsom, Roy Walter, Jack, Frank Choate and Bill Choate.

Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Roth-Muir Funeral Home, Romeo.

The funeral service will be held 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17.

Burial will be held privately at Romeo Cemetery.
