Public Hearing was held on the Application for Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate for Arlington Automotive. The hearing opened at 7:12 p.m. and was closed at 7:16 p.m. Regular Meeting was opened at 7:16 p.m. Roll call and Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Approval of minutes – Motion carried with edits. Approval of bills – October bills– Motion carried. Approval of agenda – move presentation by HRC to Special Presentations – motion carried. Correspondences – one (1) letter was discussed by President Malzahn. Public Forum for agenda items – no comments. Officer reports: President – given, Clerk – given, Treasurer – given, Trustees – given, Planning Commission Ex-Offico – report given. Committee reports: given. Unfinished business- Industrial Sign Ordinance – motion carried. IFT for Arlington Automotive – motion carried. Sidewalk Project Update. Motion to pay a project manager to finish up with the sidewalk project for fall – motion carried. New Business: IDEP Plan/Waste Water Program Manager appointment: Al Lapeer – motion carried. IDEP Plan adopted. Waste Hauler bids – Motion carried. Trick or Treat street closure for October 26th – motion carried. EGLE/DEQ Sewer Ordinance update – motion carried. Tree Board appointments – motion carried. WWTP boiler replacement – motion carried. Parks and Rec discussion – no board action taken. Audit Prep Funding – no board action taken. Public Forum –No comments. Motion to enter into Closed Session for Union Grievance at 9:02 p.m. – motion carried. Motion to end Closed Session at 9:58 p.m. – Motion carried. Motion to uphold Chief Sokolnicki disciplinary decision – Motion carried. Motion to enter closed session Rogers/Trailside vs Village of Romeo settlement 10:00 p.m. – Motion carried. Motion to end closed session – 10:12 p.m. – Motion carried. Motion to accept settlement offer for Rogers/Trailside LLC vs Village of Romeo – Motion carried. Trustee comments – comments were heard. Meeting adjourned 10:14 at p.m.
