Theodore J. Czajka Jr., 67, of Romeo, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019 at McLaren Hospital in Flint. He was born July 26, 1952 in Detroit to Theodore J. and Violet (Hobrzyk) Czajka. He married Sharon Lomakoski in 1982, who preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 2010.
Ted retired from the Ford Motor Company Utica Trim Plant after 33 years. In 1980, Ted and his brother Dennis bought the Cedar Inn in Romeo. Soon after, it became “Thee Office Pub” which is still operated by his children Nicole and Frank. Ted loved to golf, hunt and be a friend to everyone; there was a well-known saying around Romeo “I know Ted too.” He was a longtime member of the Romeo Lions club North Macomb Sportsman Club and multiple golf leagues.
He is survived by his children Nicole (Josh and Dylan) Czajka, Ted III., and Franklin all of Romeo; siblings Franklin (Nancy) Czajka, Bradley Czajka, Dennis Czajka and Victoria Grit; best friend, Mary Rayman and her children, Mark, Christopher, Shaun (Molly), Robert and their grandbabies, Tanner and Mara.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 22 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Romeo.
Burial was at the Romeo Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo.
