PUBLICE NOTICE – VILLAGE OF ARMADA – SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR RCM 3/9/20

COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as amended: added: Set Public Hearing Date and Time to consider an ordinance amending Title 1, Chapter 8 , Section 8-1of the Village Code to change the compensation for the Village President and Trustees and to consider the adoption of a Resolution calling for annual Public Hearing on Special Assessment roll for Armada Village Police Special Assessment District (PA33). Heard a presentation from Amanda Minaudo from the Macomb County Department of Planning and Economic Development informing Council of their intent to place wayfinding signs along the Macomb Orchard Trail to direct people to downtown Armada, among other signage upgrades. Received the Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of 1/6/20. Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 2/24/20 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $234,885.54 as presented. Heard a brief report from the Water Commissioner. Unanimously approved: to approve the MML Liability and Property Pool renewal for the 2020/2021 term for a cost not to exceed $43,919.00; to accept the bid from Total Asphalt in the not to exceed amount of $10,530.00 for 11,700 feet of crack sealing for Village streets; to accept the bid from Tony’s for labor and material to replace the hot water tank at the Village Sewer Plant at a cost not to exceed $1,200.00, with a six year warranty on the tank; to accept the bid from Metropolitan Air Compressor for labor and material to repair the air compressor at the Village Sewer Plant at a cost not to exceed $4,248.63; to accept the bid from ENMET for one model CP-60 controller with remote oxygen, methane, and hydrogen sulfide sensor at a cost not to exceed $2,031.00; to set a Public Hearing on the proposed ordinance amending Title 1, Chapter 8, Section 8-1 of the Village Code of Ordinances to change the compensation for the Village President and Trustees for Monday, March 23, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and authorize the Armada Clerk to publish notice of the Public Hearing in the Record; to adopt the Resolution Calling Annual Public Hearing on Special Assessment Roll for Armada Village Police Special Assessment District on April 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:48 p.m. A Complete text of minutes is available for public inspection at the Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
