Pres. Wolak called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Clark, Coenen, Wolak, Ballard, Shall, Sledz, and Boelke. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Adair, Kevin Grand, and Justin Sebra.
COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as amended: added Waste Water Treatment Plant Change Order One as New Business Item D. Heard/Received: an Executive Order from President Wolak to re-open the Village Municipal Offices; Police Commissioner Sledz stated that the Salvage Title Program is back up and running; Trustee Boelke informed Council of his discussion with the Chamber of Commerce President. Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 5/18/20 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $68,951.56 as presented; to set a Public Hearing for June 22, 2020, to discuss proposed amendments to Chapter 21, Water Utility. Unanimously approved: to approve the millage rate to be levied by the Treasurer for tax year 2020 for operating the General Fund be levied at the reduced rate of 8.9817 mills in compliance with the Headlee 2020 reduction factor of 0.9929 Section MCL211.34d; to approve the millage rate to be levied by the Treasurer for tax year 2020 for operating the Municipal Street Fund be levied at the reduced rate of 3.5924 mills in compliance with the Headlee 2020 reduction factor of 0.9929 Section MCL211.34d; to approve the millage rate to be levied by the Treasurer for tax year 2020 for operating the PA 33 Public Safety Millage be levied at the reduced rate of 2.5000; to accept the West Main Street reconstruction project pursuant to MDOT Form 1120, which the Street Commissioner is authorized to sign on behalf of the Village; to approve Change Order Number one as presented and allow Sewer Commissioner Clark to sign on the Village’s behalf. Received: Information from Water Commissioner Boelke for Council to review before the Public Hearing on June 22, 2020. Heard brief updates from the Street Administrator, Water Commissioner and the Sewer Commissioner.
