A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 7:03 PM via video conference GoToMeeting.
PRESENT: Michael Bailey, Supervisor; Karen Reilly, Clerk; Jeanne Langlois, Treasurer; Robin Buxar, Trustee; Frank Ferriolo, Trustee; John Giannangeli, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee
ABSENT: None
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as amended.
2. To approve the Consent Agenda as read.
3. To table the approval of the budget resolution for OPC until the next meeting.
4. To approve the request for a variance to the land division width requirement, as the proposal would not alter the character of the area, subject to the following conditions:
1. That no further divisions of either of the two parcels shall be permitted;
2. That the petitioner agrees to abide by and comply with all pertinent codes,ordinances and standards of Oakland Township, Oakland County and the State of Michigan.
5. To approve the contract award of the Milk House move project to Robert Bloomingdale of Bloomingdale Contracting Co. for a cost not to exceed $20,000.
6. To approve the up-front Purchase of a Tanker Pumper from Halt Fire Equipment Inc. of a Pierce 2500–gallon Tanker Pumper as specified and from the approved MITN purchasing program. The total purchase price of $674,272.00 from account 206.901.981.338 as budgeted for the 2020-2021 budget cycle.
7. To approve to approve the purchase of a 2021 Chevy 1-Ton Pickup Truck from Berger Chevrolet Inc. under the MIDEAL plan for the total cost of $34,328.00. From account 101.901.981.000 as budgeted in the 2020-2021 budget and approve the purchase of the required Snow Plow from Bostic Truck Center for an estimated price of $5,700.00 after receiving the vehicle.
8. To reappoint Brian Blust to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a term ending September 1, 2023.
9. To reappoint Gary Kwapis to the Planning Commission for a term ending September 1, 2023.
10. To adjourn the meeting at 8:52 PM.
