The Bruce Township Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on September 9, 2020, beginning at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the agenda will permit. The hearing will be conducted at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 E Gates St, Romeo, Michigan.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments from the public on a new zoning ordinance that will replace the existing zoning ordinance (Ordinance No. 161) in its entirety. The proposed zoning ordinance contains more graphic representations of zoning regulations and new formatting, which will make the zoning ordinance more user-friendly, and it includes minor amendments to clarify certain existing provisions.
A draft copy of the zoning ordinance is available for review at the township hall during regular business hours 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or on the township website at www.brucetwp.org. Written comments may be submitted prior to the meeting at the Township Hall or mailed to 223 E Gates St, Romeo, Michigan. Oral comments will be taken during the public hearing.
