NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN, pursuant to Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, that a public hearing will be held by the Armada Township Planning Commission at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Armada Township Hall Offices, 23121 East Main Street, Armada, Michigan 48005.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the purpose of the public hearing is to hear and consider an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to section 13.01: Special Land Uses in the B-2 District, to allow for pet crematoriums as a special land use in the B-2 district. A second text amendment is proposed to section 16.46: Pet Crematoriums, to create regulations regarding the operation and location of such facilities, including compliance with state and federal regulations, the concealing of vents and other necessary appurtenances and the screening of activity related to deceased animals. A third text amendment is proposed to section 20.01: Definitions, to define a pet crematorium.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that copies of the proposed amendments may be examined at Armada Township Hall Offices, 23121 East Main Street, Armada, Michigan 48005 during regular business hours, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM until the date of the Public Hearing. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on October 7, 2020.
