Pres. Pro-Tem Coenen called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Clark, Coenen, Ballard, Shall, Sledz, and Boelke. Absent: Wolak. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Adair, Jeffery Bahorski, Doug Skylis, and Maureen Finn.
COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as amended, added Change Orders #2 and #3 for Wastewater Treatment Plant Project as New Business Agenda Item D. Heard/Received: Water Commissioner Boelke updated Council briefly on several Water related items; the Treasurer’s Report for September, 2020. Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 9/28/20 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $43,585.96 as presented. Unanimously Approved: to approve the hiring of Jeff Rolfe for the part time cleaning position at a rate of $12.00/hour, with no benefits. This job shall be performed weekly during regular business hours under the supervision of the Village Office; to deny the Special Event Permit Application from the Armada Lions Club for a Four Corner Fundraiser due to restrictions from Governor Whitmer under Executive Orders 153 and 183 and the MDHSS Emergency Order issued October 5, 2020; to deny the Special Event Permit Application from the Armada Lions Club for Holly Days & Lighted Parade due to restrictions from Governor Whitmer Under Executive Orders 153 and 183 and the MDHHS Emergency Order issued October 5, 2020; to approve Change Order #2 dated September 17, 2020 at a cost of $17,650.00; to approve Change Order #3 dated October 9, 2020 at a cost of $24,626.00. Street Administrator Ballard informed Council of his intent to obtain bids for sidewalk replacement in several areas of the Village. Old Business Heard/Received: A brief update from the Sewer Commissioner and a lengthy update from the Committee formed to oversee the transition for the retirement of DPW Supervisor Serwatowski.
