Thomas Martin Smith, 68, of Mio, passed away from cancer on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born Aug. 12, 1952 in Detroit, to Harry and Tulene (Bryant) Smith.
Tom grew up in Armada and graduated from Armada High School in 1971. He was a lifetime member of the Mio Michigan Masonic Lodge #596. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Tom is survived by his two children, Eric (Wendy) Smith of Le Sueur Minn. and Jessica (Larry) Frantz of Decatur, Ind.; his grandchildren, Michael Wixson, Ben Frantz, Veronica Frantz, Matthew Smith and Dakota Smith; and brothers, Ed (Marilyn) Smith of Charleston, W.V. and Dale (Sherry) Smith of Armada.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
