PUBLIC NOTICE – ARMADA TOWNSHIP MACOMB COUNTY, MICHIGAN PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING FOR CONSIDERATION OF A SPECIAL LAND USE REQUEST

NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN, pursuant to Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, that a public hearing will be held virtually by the Armada Township Planning Commission at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 via Go-To-Meetings. Per State directives, public meeting access and participation is permitted though conference calling, real time streaming, and other technologies in compliance with Public Act 267 of 1976, the Open Meetings Act (OMA).

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the purpose of the public hearing is to consider a special land use request to the property at 72025 N. Avenue, Armada, Michigan 48005. The applicant proposes a pet crematorium as an accessory use to the existing veterinary clinic. The subject site is zoned the B2, General Business District. Per section 13.01: Special Land Uses in the B-2 District, pet crematoriums are only permitted as a special land use, subject to additional use requirements of section 16.46. A complete application is on file at the Township Offices.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that copies of the application may be examined at Armada Township Hall Offices, 23121 East Main Street, Armada, Michigan 48005 during regular business hours, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM until the date of the Public Hearing. Written comments may be addressed to the Zoning Administrator at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on February 3, 2021.
