PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the following fees schedule have been amended by Resolution of the Bruce Township Board at their regular meeting held on January 20. 2021 and will be effective 30 days after publication.
Section Two (2) Plan Review Fee Schedule
$200 Alteration, remodel, repair (commercial/industrial)
$200 Fire suppression
$30 Re-plan review
$75 Fence permit
Inspector Pay
Inspectors shall receive 75% of Plan Review Fees
Building Permit Application Fee
A non-refundable fee shall be submitted at the time of application. Upon permit issuance, the application fee will be credited to the plan review and building fees. Application fees shall be forfeited 180 days after the date of filing unless such application has been pursed in good faith or a permit has been issued; except that the building official is authorized to grant one or more extensions of time for additional time periods not exceeding 180 days each. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated.
$50 Residential alterations, additions, swimming pools/hot tubs, accessory buildings, decks/patios, demolitions, signs, trailers, fire repairs, and other miscellaneous projects not covered below.
$100 New single family residential
$100 Additions or alterations to multi-family residential, commercial and industrial
$200 New multi-family residential, commercial and industrial
Renewal Fees
Building permits shall be valid for one year. Permits may be renewed for additional one-year periods subject to continuing reasonable progress of work and where such work has not been suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days. Renewal fees may be waived, as determined by the building official, when justifiable cause, (e.g. complex or large project), is demonstrated in writing. Proposed Annual Renewal Fee of 50% of original permit fee, maximum $500.00.
Cancellation/Refund
Upon written request, prior to the commencement of any work, permits may be cancelled with fees refunded less the application fee, plan review fees and a processing fee of $50.00. Cancellation fees shall not exceed the original cost of the permit.
Where any work commenced prior to rough inspection, 50% of the permit fees may be refunded less the application fee, plan review fees and a processing fee of $50.00
Where any work has commenced beyond rough inspection, no fees may be refunded.
Permits and permit fees are non-transferable.
