It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the death on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, of Desmond Neil Buzzell, 97. He was born Jan. 5, 1924 in Romeo, the son of Neil and Pearl (Caldwell) Buzzell.
After serving in World War II in the U.S. Army, Des went on to teach generations in Coldwater, L’Anse Creuse and Fullerton, Calif. He was beloved by his students, many of whom kept in touch over the decades. He retired to Clearwater, Fla. His family holds many fond memories of this gentle, kind and intelligent man. He will be missed.
A small family service will be held in Romeo where he will be interred next to his parents.
