Phyllis Elaine (Ballard) (Dietlin) Jehu, 95, of Gainesville, Ga., passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. She was born July 18, 1925 in Detroit.

Phyllis loved her family and friends.  She was a homemaker first and a care giver to many.  She was active in her Presbyterian Church, Meals on Wheels, The Hall County Visually Impaired, Red Cross, and was best known as the “Cinnamon Bun Lady” who baked fresh cinnamon buns for every new resident in Lanier Village Estates for the past 25 years.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Yvonne Hollingsworth and Tommy, Joseph Dietlin, Lorraine Fradle, Hugo (Kim) Dietlin; stepchildren, Mitzi (Rod) Goldsmith; daughter-in-law, Barbara Jehu; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph A Dietlin, of Romeo, her last husband, Richard Jehu of Gainesville, Ga., and her step-children, Ricky Jehu and Laura Ann Smith.

Phyllis will be missed by so many and will have a special place in all our hearts. She will forever live in all of our wonderful memories!

A Memorial service will be held for family and friends 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 27 at the First Presbyterian Church, 800 South Enota Drive, NE, Gainesville, Ga., 30501.
