PUBLIC NOTICE – VILLAGE OF ARMADA SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR RCM 4/26/21

Pres. Wolak called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Ballard, Sledz, Wolak, Coenen, Clark, Shall, and Boelke. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Adair and Kevin Grand.

COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as amended: Added Purchase of New Police Vehicle as Agenda Item New Business C. Heard and/or received: the Code Enforcement, DPW, and F & V Reports for March, 2021. Treasurer’s Report was pulled until the next RCM; Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of 3-1-21; Heard comments about the DPW Report from Police Commissioner Ballard regarding street signs, he will speak to Chief Patrick regarding this; Planning Commission Liaison Coenen briefed Council on the last Planning Commission meeting; the Clerk informed Council that Congresswoman Lisa McClain will be holding a Town Hall meeting on May 11, 2021, at the Village Office Conference Room beginning at 1:00 pm which is open to the public (COVID rules must be followed). Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 4/12/21 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $37,365.65 as presented. Heard reports from the Sewer and Water Commissioners. Unanimously approved: to appoint Steve Nikkel to the Construction Board of Appeals to a term ending April 25, 2022, subject to the appointee meeting the qualifications set forth in Section 62.7 of the General Law Village Act, Act 3 of 1895; to appoint Robin Caruss to the Construction Board of Appeals to a term ending April 25, 2022, subject to the appointee meeting the qualifications set forth in Section 62.7 of the General Law Village Act, Act 3 of 1895; to approve the Special Event Permit application from the Armada Lions Club for a Four Corner Fundraiser on 4-30-21 thru 5-2-21 as long as all COVID safe practices are followed as outlined and explained to the Lions Club. Subject to cancellation/change to comply with the Department of Health and Human Services orders; to purchase the new 2021 Ford F150 from the Salvage Title Funds. Approved: to appoint Lyle Ballard to the Construction Board of Appeals to a term ending April 25, 2022, subject to the appointee meeting the qualifications set forth in Section 62.7 of the General Law Village Act, Act 3 of 1895. Unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m. A Complete text of minutes is available for public inspection at the Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
