A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 7:00 PM via video conference GoToMeeting.
PRESENT: Dominic Abbate, Supervisor; Robin Buxar, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Dave Mabry, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee
ABSENT: None
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as amended.
2. To approve the Consent Agenda as amended.
3. To approve the Private Road Access Easements and Private Road Maintenance
agreements.
4. To approve the HDC job description for a part-time casual maintenance helper for
5-hr per week, not to exceed 20 weeks, 100 hours, nor $1,500; Manager Kline can
approve whomever is chosen.
5. To approve the Terms of the Grant Agreement for Grant Number IG-202012403
from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan for the development of the
Northern Trailhead of the Paint Creek Trail in Oakland Township.
6. To approve the bid total from Tiffin Metal Company for the substation locker rooms
in the Oakland Township substation at a cost of, not-to-exceed, $52,080 for
lockers, freight and installation.
7. To approve budget amendment #1 & #2 from the Budget Amendment Memo dated
05/25/2021.
8. To approve the purchase of 5 sets of turnout gear from West Shore Fire Inc. per
the attached quote in the sum of $14,756.00 from account 206.901.980.342.
9. To approve the 2021 gravel and limestone cost for resurfacing on Buell Road, Gunn
Road and Silverbell Rd as presented for a total cost of $224,850.
10. To extend the purchase agreement for 1267 Lake George Rd as proposed by the buyers.
11. To approve a salary increase for Manager Kline per his contract for $5,000.00.
12. To adjourn the meeting at 8:27 PM.
