Billy J. Brooks, 70, of Indiana and formerly of Romeo, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 with his son by his side in Anderson, Ind. He was born March 30, 1951, the son of Woodward and Geneva (Hall) Brooks in Mount Clemens.
After high school, Billy served four years in the U.S. Army. He was a roofer by trade and a salesman because he could sell anything. To know Billy was to truly love him. He didn’t know a stranger. He was for certain; One of a kind and he will definitely be missed by all that knew him. He just touched so many lives. Rest in peace Billy, till we see each other again! I love you brother!
Billy is survived by sons, Jeremy Brooks, of Indiana, and Billy J. Brooks Jr., of North Carolina; sisters, Martha Sue Morrison, of Indiana, and Brenda Brooks, of Clinton Township; his friend and former wife Pamela (Moorefield) Brooks; his very best friend, Tom Ashton; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that love him dearly. Billy also leaves behind several small dogs who are probably wondering where their “Daddy” is.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodward and Geneva Brooks and siblings Janice, Freddie, Peggy, Robert, Jackie and Woodward Jr.
