KIPP M. DIEHL

Kipp (Kipper) Morgan Diehl, 39, of Erie, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 in his sleep at home. He was born Jan. 18, 1982 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Shane and Cindy (Kipp) Diehl.

He graduated from Armada High School in 2000 and the Michigan Career and Technical Institute in Pawpaw. Kipp loved working with his hands. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and proudly achieved Eagle Scout status.

His favorite activities were fishing, camping and chili cook offs with his dad. The Armada Fair was a yearly highlight—another opportunity for Kipp to socialize with the community he loved so much. Armada was his home, his heart and his happy place.

Kipp lived his life in service of others—caring for his friends and family gave his life meaning and purpose. He never said no if helping was within his power. He was generous well beyond his means because giving was his love language. He was at times both a protector and a tormentor of his sisters, naturally. He didn’t have a malicious bone in his body; teasing was a form of affection for Kipp because everyone he cared for was family. A gentle giant, Kipp was never above saying or doing whatever would make you laugh. His smile was infectious, his hugs so comforting.

He is survived by his parents Shane and Cindy (Kipp) Diehl, as well as his sisters: Mallory in Nevada, and Carly in South Carolina.

A celebration of his life will be held 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Armada Fairgrounds, Barn 15.

Any monetary donations should be made to the charity of your choice in his name.
