PUBLIC NOTICE VILLAGE OF ARMADA – SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR RCM 05/23/22

Pres. Wolak called meeting to order at 7:05 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Ballard, Shall, Coenen, Clark, Boelke, Wolak, Sledz. Also present: Treasurer Adair, Terry Rooney, Adriana Annoni, Stacy Sobotka, Andrew Cubitt, and Kevin Grand.

COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as amended: Added: AHG Bill to Schedule of Bills under Consent Agenda. Heard and/or received a DPW Report for May, 2022, the Treasurer’s Report for May, 2022, will be brought back to next RCM, F & V Report for April, 2022, the Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of 4/6/22; a written report submitted and read by Water Commissioner Boelke. Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as amended: RCM Minutes of 05/09/22 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $50,550.80 as presented; the Special event Permit Application from the Armada AmVets for a Four Corner Fud Raiser on 5/27/22 between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm; the Special Event Permit Application from the Armada AmVets on 5/30/22 between 9:30 am and 12:00 pm to hold the Memorial Day parade. Unanimously Approved: to allow the Water Department to sell the 20 excess Komol Bulk Bags on BidCorp with a starting bid of $500.00 and a minimum acceptable sale price of $300.00; to approve the sale of the 2008 Chevy Tahoe VIN #1GNFK13068R261072 through advertisement and bid solicitation on an on-line auction site, authorize the Police Chief to accept the highest qualified bid received and authorize the Village Clerk to execute all documents required to transfer title to the vehicles; to allow Sewer Commissioner Clark to sign and approve Change Order #10 for a net increase of $24,496.00 to the Contract for the Waste Water Treatment Plant SRF Project 5645-01 to extend the contract by 19 weeks for the following reasons: Sludge removal issue in SBR tank 1 due to the drain valve not operating; repair cracks in SBR tanks 1 and 2; and replace caulking in all three SBR tanks; to approve creating the checks for all performances at Armada Jams for the 2022 concert season and to allow disbursement to the performers on the day of their performance; to approve the Special Event permit Application from Woestijnvis on 5/30/22 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to film during the Memorial Day Parade. Approved: to approve hourly wage rates effective June 2, 2022, for current part-time police officers as follows: $19.00 per hour for part-time police officers having less than six months of service to the Village; $19.50 per hour for part-time officers having six months to less than one year of service to the Village; $20.00 per hour for part-time police officers having one year or more of service to the Village. Unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:17 p.m. A Complete text of minutes is available for public inspection at the Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
