PUBLIC NOTICE – Village of Armada Notice of Vacancy in Office of Village Treasurer

The Village of Armada is accepting letters of interest from Village residents who wish to be considered for appointment to the office of Village Treasurer to a term ending November 19th, 2022. The two-year term of the Village Treasurer starting November 20th, 2022 will be determined by the Village Election conducted on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.

Required Qualifications: To be eligible for appointment, a person must be an elector of the Village of Armada and not in “default” as defined under Section 7(2) of Michigan’s General Law Village Act, being MCL 62.7(2). To qualify for office, a person must take and subscribe the oath of office within thirty (30) days of receiving notice of appointment.

Desired Qualifications: A college degree with a concentration in accounting or finance or five (5) or more years of work experience performing accounting duties and functions. Excellent organizational and communication skills, integrity, and a commitment to accuracy are essential to this position.

Letters of Interest may be mailed or delivered to the Village Clerk at the Village of Armada Municipal Offices, 74274 Burk Street, Post Office Box 903, Armada, MI 48005-0903.
