A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 7:00 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Dominic Abbate, Supervisor; Robin Buxar, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Dave Mabry, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee
ABSENT: None
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as amended.
2. To approve the Consent Agenda as read.
3. To approve the request for a variance to the land division width requirement, as the proposal would not alter the character of the area, subject to the following conditions:
1) That no further divisions of either of the two parcels shall be permitted.
2) That the petitioner agrees to abide by and comply with all pertinent codes ordinances and standards of Oakland Township, Oakland County and the State of Michigan.
4. To renew the Blue Cross/Blue Shield benefit plan as presented with the addition of the Blue Care Network Point Of Service Plan as an added option.
5. To approve adding discussion of Public Act 152 Resolution to the 08/11/2022 3:00 PM Special Meeting.
6. To accept the Plante-Moran 2021/2022 Charter Township of Oakland Financial Audit dated March 31st, 2022.
7. To accept the Older Person Commission FY 2023 Budget Resolution.
8. To reappoint William Jandeska to the Oakland Township Zoning Board of Appeals for a 3-year term ending September 2025.
9. To reappoint Kathy Thomas to the Oakland Township Zoning Board of Appeals for a 3-year term ending September 2025.
10. To appoint Jim Munchiando to the Oakland Township Planning Commission for a 3-year term ending September 2025.
11. To reappoint George Platz to the Oakland Township Planning Commission for a 3-year term ending September 2025.
12. To appoint Robert Preston to the Oakland Township Planning Commission for a 3-year term ending September 2025.
13. To approve the down payment in the amount of $82,072.00 for the storage building start.
14.To adjourn the meeting at 9:27 PM.
